The Kobe Global Charity Festival (KGCF) is a fun-filled two-day multicultural event, open to all, that reflects Kobe's unique cosmopolitan atmosphere. It's held every year on the third weekend of October, on the grounds of the Kobe Club, which is a co-sponsor. The dates for 2005 are Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October. |

## To make a brighter future for disadvantaged children in Japan and other Asian and African countries, by generating funds for school buildings, educational projects, scholarships and similar purposes. ## To provide a forum where non-profit and other groups providing a service to the community can advertise themselves and introduce their activities. |

We have stalls selling second-hand and charity goods, food stalls providing tasty meals and snacks from all over Asia, tables manned by staff of NPOs and other groups, musical entertainment, activities for kids, and bingo for prizes. In 2004 KGCF made 2.5 million yen, for the benefit of deserving charities directly involved in grass-roots activities. Click for more on 2004 RESULTS.
